Division 2 Week Plan April 20-25, 2020:
This week will be different. You will have set activities to do each day.
• Monday: Write about a strange dream you have had or create a microfiction about being in isolation. Be ready to share your ideas on Zoom Tuesday.
• Tuesday: If you haven’t started reading a book read then do a journal response about your reading. This will be an ongoing assignment.
• Wednesday: Write a quatrain poem about a significant adult in your life
• Thursday: Read, then do a journal response about your reading.
• Friday: Find a way to connect with at least three friends (phone, Zoom, videogame, etc.)
For Math this week:
Vertical, Supplementary and Complementary Angles and Missing Angle Problems
We will be using Khan Academy. You will need to scroll down to geometry and pass the circle and circumference unit. This is listed as a grade 7 unit, but we will be doing it for both grade 6 & 7.
There are video and activities on this site. It should give you several days of math as you watch the videos and do the activities. The videos are on the left and practice on the right. They are self-marking, so you will get immediate feedback as you work along. If you find it too difficult to navigate, I will check in and go through these activities and videos on Tuesday’s Zoom meeting.
Next week we will be able to hop into our Jump books as we will all have our supplies. I have also given every student a brand new geometry kit that we will be using extensively for math. Please email mmarshall@sd46.bc.ca to let the office know you will be picking up your supplies on April 23. Our scheduled pick up time is: 12:15-1:00.
